Acclaimed actress Essie Davis also chose BOWIE for her Logies look.
Although currently starring in Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Davis took to the stage with the rest of The Slap cast to receive the Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Drama Series.
It seems she was a winner in the fashion field as well, as she was invited to twirl for the crowd on a podium of the best-dressed.
Wearing a floor-length white vintage kimono dress, Davis looked the picture of elegance as she later stepped onto the stage with fellow Cloudstreet actor Stephan Curry to present an award.
Although popular TV Presenter Carrie Bickmore didn’t walk away with the top award at last night’s Logie Awards in Melbourne, she still managed to strike gold in the fashion stakes.
The host of Channel Ten’s THE PROJECT, stepped onto the red carpet in an elegant floor-length BOWIE gown. Of the colour, Bickmore admitted that it was not one she usually wore. The risk paid off, for the dual-tone red dress with fitted bodice and gold belt, was an undisputed red carpet favourite.
Bickmore was a stand out… perfectly matched to Australia’s most daring designer.
In the lead up to his runway show at this month’s Mercedes-Benz Australia Fashion Week, fashion designer Bowie Wong is on the lookout for model citizens – of the tall, leggy, catwalk capable kind.
Invited by Limuel Inc. to partner in the creation of this competition, Bowie is looking forward to offering an opportunity to new faces. “I hope to find girls who have that something special… to open the doors for them. Doors that they may have previously thought were not open to them.”
The fresh-faced and talented winner/s will be hitting the catwalk in the BOWIE runway show at 8pm on Tuesday 1st May, at the Sydney Overseas Passenger Terminal. They will also receive a gift pack valued at over $1,000.
